One of the things Sparks suggested in the Professional Development Class was to make a list of meaty words that describe your work. I like the words luscious, gross, decadent, kooky, creepy, nasty, obsessive, artificial, decay, restless, tease, kitschy, bitter-sweet, horrible and adorable, uncanny, vulgar and elegant, sweet, fugly, tasty and nasty.
I don’t know that all of these words describe my work but they are giving me some direction and ideas that I will probably play with in the studio.
